Mark was appointed to the Palisade Advisory Board in January 2014 and as Chairman of Palisade’s Investor Advisory Group and Palisade’s Regional Infrastructure Fund in August 2008.
Mark resigned from the Federal Parliament in July 2008, after 15 years as the national member for Lyne in Northern NSW. Mark was Leader of the Federal National Party and Deputy Prime Minister from June 2005 until November 2007. During his time in Federal Parliament, he held senior ministerial portfolios of:
Transport & Regional Development and Local Government (1997 – 1998)
Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (1998 -1999)
Trade (1999 – 2006)
Transport and Regional Services (2006-2007)
